This awareness inspires me to actively contribute to a healthcare system where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, not only regardless of, but also with respect for racial and cultural differences, heritage, and background.
As a psychiatry resident, I am driven by the conviction that mental health is a vital, yet too often overlooked, pillar of overall healthcare. In psychiatry and mental health care inclusion, empathy, and connection are central values that I consider inseprable from true quality care. With my background and experiences, I aspire to serve as a bridge between different worlds.
