Our work spans teaching, advocacy, and community engagement! As our impact grows, we’re launching the Afromedica Associates to welcome new voices who can help us share our message, build resources, and support our mission of anti-racist healthcare in Belgium.

Eligibility

We are looking for motivated students and early-career professionals who want to contribute to AfroMedica’s mission by helping us communicate, organise, and connect.

A medical background is not necessary to apply!

We welcome students, allied health professionals, researchers, and anyone passionate about equitable healthcare.

Responsibilities

As an AfroMedica Associate, you will support our communications and public engagement activities, including social media and digital resources.

Example tasks include:

  • Curating and scheduling posts on social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Turning Afromedica Talks, events, and research into engaging posts or visuals
  • Helping prepare newsletters and educational resources
  • Assisting in event promotion
  • Gathering and organising relevant materials (articles, reports, visuals)

What about time commitment?

We expect a time commitment of approximately 2–4 hours per month (flexible and remote). This includes optional quarterly team calls or brief check-ins
